Abhyanga is a balancing and detoxifying traditional Ayurvedic warm oil massage that has been practiced for thousands of years. This therapeutic treatment is customized to suit your individual needs, defined by the three guiding Ayurvedic principles: Vata, Pitta and Kapha. Your practitioner will use customized medicated oils to leave you re-centered and rejuvenated.

Four Handed Abhyanga is a synchronized two practitioner traditional Ayurvedic warm oil massage. It provides all of the benefits of Abhyanga with additional focus on grounding and relaxing the nervous system, relieving stress and tension while nourishing the body with balancing oils.

Swedana Signature Retreat

This unique treatment captures the traditions of Ayurveda to provide detoxification and rejuvenation. It begins with a 75 minute balancing Abhyanga Massage followed by time in our Swedana Herbal Steam Chest. It is completed with a ubtan body exfoliation to flush the lymphatic system and improve muscle tone.

Pinda Sweda Herbal Massage

This grounding Ayurvedic massage uses warm cloth boluses, filled with aromatic herbs and grains, to massage the body.  Pinda Sweda massage is warming, nourishing, and deeply relaxing. It supports the nervous system, restores vitality to the entire body, and can be beneficial for conditions such as arthritis, anxiety, pain, muscle weakness, and fatigue.

Ayurvedic Balancing Body Wrap

This treatment is customized for your constitution based on your doshic assessment, and will be designed to balance either Vata, Pitta, or Kapha dosha. It includes Abhyanga massage to restore your body to its harmonious natural state and a balancing organic herbal body wrap. During your wrap you will experience Shiroabhyanga- Indian head massage, using Ayurvedic hair oil, leaving you nourished and supported.

Utilizing Ayurvedic wisdom, this Abhyanga massage treatment assists your body in eliminating toxins (ama) to increase your vitality. Designed to support symptoms of imbalanced Kapha dosha, such as fatigue, sluggishness, depression or lymphatic congestion, this is also an excellent choice if you are preparing your body for a cleanse or detoxification.

SHIRODHARA treatments are rooted in the ancient tradition of Ayurveda. The soothing flow of oil onto the brow reduces anxiety and depression, calms over-activity, and can help to relieve mental exhaustion and insomnia. Shirodhara treatments contain a short amount of balancing hands on massage, but are primarily a no-contact treatment between you and your practitioner. Shirodhara is most effective when paired with Abhyanga massage.


Warm organic sesame oil, revered as sacred oil in Ayurveda, it is the most traditional shirodhara. It is most beneficial for vata-types when the mind has been hyperactive, restless, anxious or forgetful.

Rosemary-infused sesame oil is used to improve memory and awaken the mind. This treatment is beneficial for kapha-types for when the mind becomes sluggish, dull, or depressed.

 Ayurveda is a vast ocean of wisdom, and at the same time it is a practical, useful science of health and wellness. In an Ayurvedic consultation, your practitioner will look into your health history; listen to your concerns and goals; observe your body, demeanour, pulse and tongue (these are traditional tools for assessment) and determine your constitution (prakruti) and your current state (vikruti), and develop a health-plan for you. Your health plan may include recommendations for your nourishment, healthy activities, mental/spiritual health practices and herbal remedies. Your commitment to your journey is key to the success of your Ayurvedic health plan, and your practitioner will provide you with support and information to help you succeed.
